​​Class Outline

Classes are intended for new and returning students in grades 6 through 9.  While some new material is introduced, returning students are able to practice and perfect previously taught material, while assisting the new students in learning the basics.  Many students have returned for four or more sessions!

  • Class 1:  Fox Trot and Box Step                  Introductions & Conversation Starters 
  • Class 2:  Introductory ChaCha          Body Language Do's and Don'ts     ​
  • Class 3:  Fox Trot & ChaCha Review     Social Media "Do This, Not That"
  • Class 4: Line Dance                 Table Manners for Teens & 'Tweens
  • Class 5:  Review for Semi-Formal                 Receiving Line Etiquette

Preview Night is a free class for students wanting to see what cotillion is all about before registering for a full session.  It is a drop-off event and runs from 7:30-9:00 pm at HUMC.  Check back here for registration information for Preview Night in early 2020.

November 22 Semi-Formal

All classes meet on Friday evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Huntersville United Methodist Church.  The Semi-Formal will be held at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center at HUMC and up to 4 family members/guests are invited to attend with each student.
